Good Will Hunting (1997)
Watch it, even if you’ve already seen it. Take your time. Concentrate. Listen carefully and use the rewind button if you must, but don’t miss a word.
This is more than a great movie with a great story; it’s brilliantly written, and for the most part, brilliantly acted. It even has a terrific ending that’s not plainly predictable.
Affleck and Damon were only 24 and 26 years old, respectively, when they wrote this astonishing screenplay. Every relationship that Will Hunting (Matt Damon) has with other characters in the film is remarkably well developed and evokes genuine emotional attachment. This clip says it all. Take five minutes to watch it, and more importantly, listen to it.

I’m astonished that this was actually going to be an action thriller at one point, but when they were getting their screenplay critiqued, were told to drop that plot and concentrate on the characters. This is a great one for sure.

Yeah, I was amazed when I read that. It’s a good thing they received such fantastic advise.
